GC Business Finance conquer the Three Peaks for charity
Following last year’s Snowdon climb, this year our intrepid team at GC Business Finance decided that one mountain wasn’t quite enough of a challenge.
On Thursday, in a marathon 12 hour expedition, they successfully climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks, raising over £5,000 for our chosen charities, The Christie and The Haemophilia Society.
Having added an extra three miles by dodging some bulls en route, the final distance climbed by the team was 28 miles, taking in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 m) and Ingleborough (723 metres).
Paul Breen said: “We’re hugely proud of our team for completing this monumental challenge and for raising so much money for our charities. This is a really demanding climb, both physically and mentally, and their efforts and commitment to the challenge cause were outstanding. Well done team and a big thank you to everyone that supported them with your generous pledges and donations.”
